Everything is up and running in the Venice Biennale -the independent Pia MYrvoLD TIME MACHINE exhibition – during 3 opening days we had more than 1000 visitors!

Pia MYrvoLD is a Norwegian artist based in France with an international career starting in Paris with a large scale 'textile in architecture' project in the futuristic Parc de la Villette, invited by the architect Bernard Tschumi. MYrvoLD, who is multitalented and work in mediums, from painting, sculpture, design, fashion, music, technology and interactive art, was invited by the French Syndic de Createur de Modes to show her own design creations in the years between 1994 - 2002 on their prestige Official Calendar. MYrvoLD showed her design concepts, including the launch of the interactive art and design hybrid cybercouture, as well as on 7th of Sixth in New York in 2001. MYrvoLD was invited to show her interactive smart design Female Interfaces in a performance and installation in exhibition Ecouté in Centre Pompidou in 2004. In 2011 and 2013 MYrvoLD produced and curated the independent pavilion, FLOW - a work in motion and The Metamorphoses of the Virtual in Venice Biennale, the last nominated as best parallell by the Italian art press. Created to emphasise the importance of new media art, these exhibitions trav- elled to Los Angeles LACDA, Toronto OCAD, the K11 Art Foundation Shanghai and PACE Beijing. Centre Pompidou invited her to present the solo show ART AVATAR in 2014, a 350m2 immersive and interactive exhibition with more then 10 000 visitors. New York Times, invited her as a key speaker for their conference Art for Tomorrow 2016, in Doha, Qatar. MYrvoLD’s entry in the first day program, was followed by Jeffrey Deitch, the famous New York Gallerist and recently director of the LACMA museum in Los Angeles. Among the star packed program we find Jeff Koons, Marina Ambramovic and the curator for the London Serpentine Gallery, Hans Ulrich Obrist. Consequently Sheika Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani of Doha and Qatar Art Museums, invited her to develop the project SUN TRUMPETS, sculpture installations with sun panels that follow the sun and announce the fist and last light of the day with sounds.
